The D. E. Shaw group seeks a Network Reliability Engineering to join its Systems group. This is a hands-on, technical role within a cross-platform team responsible for contributing to infrastructure engineering projects, maintaining and improving the firm's technology platforms. The environment includes an interdependent combination of Linux and Windows servers and applications, business applications, and high-performance data and storage networks. You will be responsible for a variety of support and project work across a wide range of technology, including but not limited to network infrastructure, innovative automation & monitoring platforms, and security platforms. This includes troubleshooting complex technical issues, administration of various infrastructure-level systems, and implementing automation and efficiency improvements. Successful team members are resourceful, with a keen ability to combine independent research, prior experience, and critical analysis to resolve unfamiliar problems and advance challenging work.
