Investment Analysis

Fundamental Research Analyst Intern

Research analysts are vital to the firm's fundamental investing groups, and we're looking for talented individuals with a unique perspective to join our team. Research analysts will be placed in one of four groups for the summer (Long/Short Equity, Credit Opportunities, Special Situations Arbitrage, or Asset-Backed Securities), where they will research, analyze, and perform due diligence on potential investments, all while gaining exposure to live deals as they progress. Strong candidates may have a passion for investing, but they may also be newcomers to the field and simply interested in tackling complex, multi-faceted problems. A demonstrated aptitude for financial analysis is a plus, as are excellent communication skills and previous internship experience at an investment bank, alternative asset manager, or long-only manager, though time spent working in finance is only one of many paths that can lead to an internship with us. IT/Enterprise: Systems Administrator

We are looking for a talented technologist to join our IT/Enterprise team as a Systems Administrator. The technologist we hire will be responsible for support and project work across a wide range of technology, including but not limited to Windows PCs and servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices, and an advanced telecommunications infrastructure. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting of complex technical problems, management and execution of software and hardware upgrades, maintenance of various infrastructure-level systems, and automation and efficiency improvements.

Systems Technologist Intern

The technologists in our IT/Enterprise group are responsible for developing and managing a wide range of technology solutions, including but not limited to Linux servers, Windows PCs and servers, mobile devices, and firm wide platforms such as communication and intranet systems. Responsibilities include developing automation solutions for software and hardware deployments, administration of various infrastructure-level systems, and automation and efficiency improvements for all platforms.  
 
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Linux and/or Windows environments, programming and scripting experience (such as with Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or others), and an enthusiasm for technology that extends beyond required class or work assignments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as are superb organizational and time management abilities. Specific projects will be matched to a candidate's interests and experience; recent examples include working alongside our engineering team to build automation in support of a firm wide Windows 10 migration, assisting our information security team with enhancing our security information and event management systems, and collaborating with both technologists and employees across the firm to enhance and deploy a new intranet solution.
