Arcesium LLC seeks a highly capable Tech Ops Engineer to support the activities of this new technology and services company that provides asset managers with software and service solutions for their post-trade activities. The Tech Ops Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting critical production issues across the platform (AWS, RHEL, Windows Server) and applications (Java Tomcat, Python, Perl); carrying out production deployments; identifying and patching bugs and inefficiencies; and building monitoring and reporting frameworks as well as tools used to streamline and automate tasks throughout the platform lifecycle. This role will provide the opportunity to interact directly with end users to resolve technical issues as well as exposure to various technologies including (but not limited to) AWS, Ansible, ZooKeeper, Elastic Search, Kibana, Python and Java, as well as Linux, SQL Server and Windows Server.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a DevOps, TechOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role at a top startup or technology firm, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. He or she must possess exceptional verbal and written communications skills, an operations-oriented mindset, and a knack for technical firefighting, diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem solving. A knowledge of systems administration, software development, scripting and building automation tools, and a thorough understanding of the TCP/IP stack and the Unix environment are a must. Experience with coding in Python, Java, or other object-oriented language, as well as a familiarity with AWS are strongly desired. Additionally, this role will require some international travel to conduct project work directly with our technology development, infrastructure, and operations teams in our international offices.

Primary responsibilities will also include people management for two Executive Assistants, event planning, and some human resources and accounting responsibilities.
