        The D. E. Shaw group seeks an organized, detail-oriented professional to join its Recruiting Project Management Office (PMO) team. This individual will drive projects and operational initiatives across all areas of Recruiting, with a particular focus on campus recruiting and close partnership with senior Human Capital stakeholders. The role offers the opportunity to manage multiple projects, enhance processes, and support innovative recruiting initiatives, contributing to the firm’s overall talent strategy.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        • Work closely with the campus recruiting team to manage large projects and operational initiatives— ensuring timely execution across the campus and PMO portfolios—with full ownership of the firm’s sponsorship strategy and execution.

        • Analyze data to inform strategy, drive process improvements, and create impactful reports.

        • Lead process re-engineering initiatives to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure alignment with business objectives through a process-oriented approach.

        • Collaborate with various teams across Human Capital, audit data, and handle ad-hoc requests.

        Who we’re looking for

        • A bachelor’s degree in any field and at least seven to ten years of professional experience in campus recruiting, recruiting operations, or project management.
        • Demonstrated track record of delivering on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present with confidence and build consensus among senior stakeholders.
        • Impressive organization skills, rigorous attention to detail, and a knack for driving key recruiting initiatives independently.
        • Solid analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to distill actionable themes from data and meetings.
        • Fluency and/or interest in generative AI (GAI) tools and projects is a notable plus.
        • The expected annual base salary for this position is $130,000 to $170,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
